In the pursuit of beauty, we’ve often turned a blind eye to what lies behind the glimmer. Most mascaras on the market are a blend of harsh chemicals, synthetic pigments, and microplastics—all packaged in plastic tubes that end up in landfills. With each swipe, we unknowingly brush our lashes with ingredients that can irritate the eyes, damage lashes over time, and contribute to a growing environmental crisis.
That’s why we turned to Aale mara, or ivory wood—a material cherished for centuries in Channapatna, Karnataka. It’s light, acoustically rich, and harvested sustainably. Instead of synthetic paints, we embrace ancient techniques using vegetable dyes—turmeric for yellow, manjishta for red, and indigo for deep blues—creating a finish that’s vibrant, safe, and entirely natural.
Each Channapatna Amplifier is a work of devotion. Crafted by artisans who sit barefoot in their workshops—regarded as sacred spaces—they shape every curve using traditional lathes and time-honored methods passed down through generations.
